In town, you can go online and meet other Nooks. These rules apply whenever you are online — in every lobby, in private lobbies and when you visit someone’s office. They are part of our Terms of Service. Nooky is for people aged 18 and over, online too.
1. Be kind
No harassment, bullying or threats. Don’t follow someone around or keep messaging them after they have made clear they don’t want it.
2. No sexual content, no hate
Nothing sexual — not in names, messages, questions, pictures or voice. Nothing that attacks people for who they are, such as their origin, religion, disability, gender or sexual orientation, and no glorification of violence or extremism.
3. Keep it safe and legal
- No illegal content, no scams, no links to malware.
- Don’t share other people’s personal data, such as addresses, phone numbers or photos of them without their consent.
- No spam and no advertising floods.
4. Be yourself
Don’t pretend to be someone else, and don’t pretend to be part of the Nooky team. Your display name follows these rules too.
5. Profile pictures
Everyone in Nooky Online can see your profile picture, including Nooks you don’t know, so it has to be fine for everyone. Not allowed:
- nudity — bare genitals, bare female breasts or bare buttocks, also in paintings, statues, drawings and anime;
- sexual content — sexual acts or gestures, posing in underwear or lingerie, sexualised poses;
- graphic violence — realistic injuries, blood, dead bodies, a weapon pointed at the viewer;
- symbols, uniforms and images of hate groups and extremism, also in historical photos;
- rude gestures, such as the middle finger;
- text that insults, harasses or advertises — links, handles, phone numbers and the like.
Ordinary photos are fine — swimwear at the beach too — as are pets, landscapes, cartoons, logos, names and costumes. Only use pictures you are allowed to use, and pictures of other people only with their consent. Every picture is checked automatically before others can see it. If it is turned down, the app tells you what isn’t allowed and you can choose another one. If in doubt, choose another picture.
6. Play fair
Use the Nooky app as it is. No modified apps, bots or tricks to get around filters, blocks or limits.
7. If something feels wrong
- Block: click the Nook and choose Block. From then on, you don’t see each other anymore, and we keep you in different rooms where we can. You can unblock at any time.
- Report: click the Nook and choose Report. Pick a reason and add a few words if you like; you can block in the same step. Our server never sees what Nooks say to each other, so a report contains what you saw — please report honestly. Knowingly false reports break these rules too.
- By email: you can also write to contact@nookyai.com, in English or German — for example to report illegal content. Please tell us what happened, where and when, the name and friend code of the Nook if you know them, and why you think it is illegal.
- If someone is in danger, contact the police or emergency services first.
8. What we do
A person reviews every report. A report alone never leads to a suspension. Depending on how serious a breach is, we may reset a display name to “Nook”, remove a profile picture, remove someone from a room, turn off Nooky Online for their account or suspend the account. We tell the person concerned in the app why. If you think we got a decision wrong, write to contact@nookyai.com and someone will look at it again.
